I am talking about “Dahi chuda” or flattened rice with curd which is a traditional breakfast in Eastern states. Mostly people enjoy sweet version of this Parfait .Some like to startthe day with little spicy. These gluten-free flakes are a source of iron, carbohydrates & proteins .The calories in the beaten rice are not harmful as the sodium content is very less.

What is Beaten Rice

The very famous “Poha” (beaten rice pilaf)in Maharashtra are the cooked version of these rice flakes. While in Tamilnadu they make a traditional aval-ladoo out of it.

Beautiful twist to this simple breakfast? I still remember my dad having dohi (curd) poha as breakfast before leaving for office. So adding sprouts, chia seeds and bananas will be an absolute delight ??
