Delhi ,the capital of India is truly amazing with all it’s heritages ,monuments ,street-foods and many more. You will find lot of places to kill your time on your weekends .Dili-haat is one of them where I went few times during my stay there.
Dili-Haat ,a place for craft lovers in the city.Artists from different region of India get a chance to exhibit their art providing an ambiance of “haat” which means a local fair. It opens from 11AM to 9PM with an entry fee of INR20 per person (Indian). Located in the heart of city ,”South-Delhi” ,opposite to INA market ,this place is a hub for handicraft and hand-loom artists.
I love the stoneware from Assam which is my favorite store there. In fact the shopkeeper lady became a good friend of mine .She keeps beautiful collection of kitchen utensils and many other household stuffs.Do check if you visit there ever. There is no particular location for the store, as in every month they change their position inside the haat.
At one side there is a food-bazaar where few stalls offering traditional food from different parts of country. Though i found nothing such great in terms of authenticity. You can try Kashmiri food ,some momos from Assam stall and sweets from Odissa stall..
